Spell: brush fire [brfi] - This spell calls forth fire from the very trees and grass of a region, giving birth to numerous brush fires. These fires will creep across the region, harming agricultural production.
This spell's range is 1+1 per 2 LoM.
This spell's duration is 1+1 per 2 LoM.
This is an OVERLAND spell. It can only be cast upon an overland territory. It is a GLOBAL spell. It is HARMFUL.

Spell: dedication [dedi] - When cast within a building by the owner, this spell dedicates the building to the appropriate SPHERE of magic. Note that religious buildings can only be dedicated to the spheres of life or death, while mage's guilds can only be dedicated to one of the four major elemental spheres (fire, earth, water, air). A mage must have at least third level skill in the sphere to be dedicated. Only one dedication spell may be cast on a location at a time. Dedication lasts until dispelled or removed with a purify spell.
This spell's duration is infinite.
It is a GLOBAL spell.

Spell: fireball [fbll] - This spell brings into being a ball of flaming gases which strikes a large number of figures in the target unit. The heat generated by the fireball increases as the LoM of the spell increases.

Spell: protection [prot] - The first thing many mages learn is how to protect themselves from their own spells. The protection spell provides minor protection against all spells directed at the caster. This protection increases along with the caster's skill.

Spell: summon fire snakes [sfsn] - This spell summons a number of fire snakes (1 + 1 per LoM - up to the maximum possible unit size) to serve the caster until they are destroyed. The CAST order for this spell can optionally take a parameter which will serve as an ALIAS for the newly summoned unit.
This spell targets the caster's location (SAME).
